I was spraying creosote on the garden fence the other day, and because of the windy day, it has splattered the car. Has anybody got any ideas how to remove the culprit?

I would suggest something like white spirit or petrol, then a good application of polish/wax afterwards.

White spirit will be the best solution. No pun intended. Regards Peter

Ask Smokie on here about removing creosote from cars...

He recently had his Signum written off after a can of the stuff spilled in his boot. He tried every method under the sun to clean it up first!

Try graffiti remover - you can get solvent free ones which use fruit acids to remove the spatter (or paint spray as my mate had done to his car by vandals) but don't leave it to stand on there or it may affect the paintwork too. Several quick applications, washing off in between is safer than one big vigorous one which overdoes it....
