Traffic Control - geoff1248

For the past week there have been some fairly disruptive road works at a cross roads near to where we live. Even over the Bank Holiday traffic has managed to flow quite well thanks to motorists giving way to each other. Today however there is a real Policeman controlling the traffic (a rare sight in itself). As a result there are massive tail backs and no doubt some very irate motorists. Why couldn't they just let it be?
