Camper - 65. Increasing cc from 1.5 to 1.6 - robdub
1965 Split screen camper with 1500 single port 6v engine. I am having to replace the heads as the threads on the plugs are goosed. Whilst the heads are off I want to increase the cc. as cheaply as possible to 1600. Do I just get larger barrells. If so do I need longer bolts and tubes. I,ll change the rings but intend to keep the same pistons (presuming they are ok).

dont work like that i am afraid, you either fit larger pistons to go with barrels or a longer throw crank, either way its a major job, if you realy want to increase power then get a recon engine far less trouble (more money but far easier)
