Yellow markers on road signs - Ramite
Have often wondered what the yellow markers on road signs are.The ones on A roads that are usually a shape ,square, diamond triangle etc next to the place name.

Yellow markkers on road signs - uk_in_usa
They indicate diversionary routes. If a road is closed it will say "Diversion follow "

Yellow markkers on road signs - adverse camber
Also used for 'holiday' or special destination routes.
