Thanks I did both see and read that post.
I was hoping to get some feedback from any exsiting owners oe anyone who has bought one.
I think they are quite rare so very few backroomers may have one.

I have owned a 3.6 CTS for 2 years (my third Cadillac) and would be happy to answer any questions about the pros and cons of owning one.
The CTS is a good looking car...but try to get one with the chrome Bentley style Grill rather than the "Vauxhall look" grill. This is the one you will see if you look up "Clarkson Cadillac" on U Tube, although he tests the cts v. (same body style)
You drive in supreme comfort, with all the toys and whistles you get with most luxury cars.
Deprecation is a disadvantage (a nightmare for the Guy who bought new for £30k) but works in favour of the pre-owned buyer, you will get a low mileage 06 or 07 from 7 to 10k with a drop off of £1000.00 per year.
If you buy a less than 3 year old Cadillac you inherit the balance of the Cadillac warranty which is 3 years or 60000 miles. (no matter how many owners)
Dealers are hard to find . Stratstone or Bauer Millett in England. There are none in Scotland, as Stratstone Edinburgh has just recently decided to go "Jaguar only" in sales and servicing.
You can have your Cadillac serviced at ANY car dealership an as long as Genuine cadillac parts are used your warranty is still valid.(Thanks to recent EU ruling)

>Deprecation is a disadvantage...
I can imagine! };---)
From AskOxford:
deprecate
[early 17th century] Deprecate "express disapproval of" meant "pray against" in early examples. It is from Latin deprecari "pray against (as being evil)", from de- (expressing reversal) and precari "pray".

My only question is how do sleep nights knowing the petrol bills you are paying, or do you do very little mileage ?

Hi Roly, Thanks for the question, I sleep as well as any Jaguar or any other luxury car owner (comparable MPG). The days of all Cadillacs being gas guzzlers are coming to an end....the Americans are having to buy oil on the international market as well as the UK.
I dont use my cts to nip down to the chip shop. I am fortunate enough to have a wee biscuit tin of a runaround for short trips. On a run I can get up to 25 mpg driving sensibly even with air con. running.
