Very weasely - some of the rebuttals almost confirm the 'myths'. e.g. the response on the German taxes question doesn't say they didn't do it - only that they aren't doing anything illegal.
No mention of Saab.

Well of course they are in trouble because of the US: GM has consistently been mismanaged since the 1960s and its model lineup - like all US car makers - reflects the US inability to manage their waistlines. (human that is) and GM's inability to innovate.

Saab mentioned on GM Facts and Fiction website, not the Europe one (tinyurl.com/dcot39)

Gigantism is seductive for its colossal politician-dominating power and profitability, but tends to unravel over time. They think they'll be riding an elephant with a smile on their faces and end up herding cats in the mud and running out of elastoplast for the scratches.
No reason to believe all these assets are just going to vanish overnight. No reason to suppose either that they will all survive unscathed.
I must say I hope I will be able to afford one of those Monaro things (they have all sorts of names) before they disappear and are replaced by something less amusing.
