Caparo Rightfuel diesel device - tawse
Hi,

Does anyone own the Caparo Rightfuel device which, from what I can make out, is a competitor to that device that was on Dragons Den last year to stop you putting petrol into a diesel?

Just wondering if anyone has purchased either of the devices - I think the DD one is now selling for £40 instead of the original £90 - and if anyone has compared the two of them?

Thanks,

T.

I have fitted Caparo Rightfuel and I am very happy with its performance and 100% protection. However I have to declare that I am its original designer and collected the double gold award it claimed at the British Invention Show.

In fairness you might look at this Autoexpress article: www.autoexpress.co.uk:80/products/products/234480/...m
l

It features 6 devices although does not compare them. I know its difficult when many of the devices are not yet in highstreet stores. However, I would urge readers concerned about this issue to compare the retro-fit devices carefully (by whatever means available) to ensure the one they choose is at least as good as their original fuel cap in terms of sealing and venting and that the device physically stops petrol getting into their diesel. For me there is no contest, in terms of preformance, quality and also value.

There is also a thread in the Autocar forum you might read.

Best wishes

I`m working on a device that pops an artificial donkeys back leg out of a flap when entering a filling station. The hoof taps out `diesel only` in morse code on the roof and if ignored kicks the pump handle out of the drivers hand......

ifithelps on a ford the small metal cap inside the filler neck doesn't open if you insert the wrong nozzle, seen this before when my mam borrowed stepdad's car then asked me at the petrol station why the nozzle wouldn't fit.
