hi there new to this forum stuff so forgive if a go on a bit! basicly while on a long and dull motorway drive the turbo stopped working no strange bangs or smoke etc.. just no turbo . found somewhere to stop did usual looksie nothing obivous started her back up and hey presto working turbo! is at an omen for worst things to come? any enlightment would be gratefully received cheers

You need to check for fault codes to help get to the bottom of it. Maybe it went into limp mode by the sounds of it, but was reset when you switched the IGN off. If it happens again, get a VW specialist to read the codes with VAG COM.
