Peugeot 307 SW (2002 - 2008) - 04 1.6HDi - fault codes.....are these serious?

04 1.6HDi - fault codes.....are these serious? - adr1974
had the now legendary anti pollution warning warning the other day along with the engine warning light. stayed on for about 10mins then disappeared.hasnt appereared since either,that was 3 days ago. no dip in performance or any other symptoms. brother in law is a mechanic so took it to him and he borrowed his boss' diagnostic machine and the following codes came up.

p0420
p1351
p0483
p0409

anyone have any ideas what these mean and possible ways to fix?
my car is an 04 307sw 1.6hdi 110 with 59,000 miles on clock

A google search brings up:-

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
P1351 IDM input circuit Malfunction/Ignition coil control circuit High voltage
P0483 Cooling Fan Rationality Check
P0409 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor 'A' Circuit

Don't want to muscle in on your thread, adr1974, and I hope you get your problem sorted without too much hassle. But I just can't help wondering how rational a cooling fan can actually be?
Something else to give me pause for thought before I buy a 'modern' car...
