They have been in Germany quite a while the only problem with them is the emissions levels are quite high on the petrol models,a diesel option has been promised in the future,

Looks OK! Do they not sell the standard Logan then? I hired one of those in Romania, not a bad car... did exactly what it said on the tin. Very popular over there, mind you compared to the older Dacias (Renault 12-derived, sold for a while in the UK as, I think, the Denem?) it is a supercar!

I heard a rumour that RHD versions were going to be made in India and find their way over here.

I bet James May will be very excited as he reads this thread. I would be glad if they come over here, I am getting sick of the lack of 'crap' new cars for sale.

Lots of combined Renault / Dacia dealerships in Turkey, both built there I believe.

The Sandero looks OK, especially for under seven grand.

There is Logan in saloon, estate and pickup with various engine sizes both diesel and petrol the estate is can be seen in good numbers here in Germany.

Yes, Dacia has been selling here in Germany for a while. They have a clever marketing campaign and some very keen prices, the Logan MCV (estate) costing around 8000 Euros which is around 60% of the price of a new Golf or Focus. It's also much better looking than you would expect a cheap car to be and available as a 7 seater.
