02 1.9 disconnecting battery to clean MAF sensor? - 1964johnr
Can anyone tell me why it is recommended that you disconnect the negative battery terminal before taking the MAF sensor out for cleaning ?

Makes no difference with battery connected or disconnected.What could make a difference is if the maf is un-plugged with the ignition switched on.hth
