99 2.5 No heating inside car... - Pedro Frommetti
My Shogun has very little heating inside the vehicle. I have flushed the cooling system and added a system flushing agent this has had little effect. Is the only possible reason for this now is due to the matrix being blocked, or is there another possible explanation? Would appreciate your help in the matter.

The matrix shouldn't be blocked if its had regular coolant changes. Do the controls work normally, apart from not enough heat? if so its possible that the matrix is blocked or has air in it, try bleeding it by disconnecting the highest pipe and running the engine slowly until water without any air bubbles comes out, topping the header tank up at the same time. If the water is circulating correctly, both pipes should at about the same temperature, if the top one (return) is much cooler that would indicate poor circulation, probably due to the problems mentioned above.

A jammed thermostat could cause these problems. how hot is your engine running when fully warmed up.
