1996 1.2 bottom pulley bolt - duggie
Hi,
trying to remove the bolt holding the botton crank pulley (cambelt change) could someone tell me if it comes out clockwise or anti clockwise?
Cheers.

There is no mention in the manual of the crankshaft pulley bolt being removed other than by the normal anti-clockwise way. It does say, however, that the bolt is very tight.

Text book method is to jam the flywheel. Not difficult on Renaults as there is easy access to the ring gear where the crank sensor bolts on. Unofficially use a socket on a bar wedged against the floor and flick the starter with the crank sensor disconnected to shock it loose. You must tighten it by jamming the flywheel and tighten to the correct torque.
