02 1.7Revs up in traffic & holds revs on g/chang - mfarrow
Hi

Pretty much as the subject title really. Astra 1.7 DTI Y17DT

When in traffic and using the clutch and a little throttle, if I dip the clutch the revs will sometimes shoot to 1500rpm.

Likewise, if I dip the clutch to change gear, the revs will 'hover' for about half a second or so before coming down, but only if they're between 1500rpm and 2000rpm.

Any ideas?

bump!

I've also noticed that it runs a bit lumpy/missing when started after being stood for a while. It will start fine, and the fault will clear after about 15 seconds or so.

The auxilliary belt squeals under load if that's any help.
