So I have started the thread... and my nomination is:
"Driven" starring that all time great racing driver.... Stalone!

Has to be Duel. (shown on ITV4 at the weekend). I simply cannot believe how they managed to stretch something as tedious as that over 90 mins (or how ever long the movie was)
|
Agreed.

I actually enjoyed that one. Periodically shown on one of the Sky Movie channels, and can't help but to give it another gander.

What about the remake of the Italian Job?
And the real car link?
But like the original the cars could not carry the loot. But that is not this thread - do not discuss ;-)

Great film Duel - scared me when I was about 10 and I still watch it if I see it's on. One of Spielberg's finest.

Fast and the Furious.
If only because it just encouraged every idiot with pretensions to pimp their corolla/civic/saxo/fiesta and drive like a complete loon.
All herbie movies, and the remake starring Linday Loahn was the worst
Not 100% motoring, but featured enough cars to qualify - Blues Brothers 2000.
Terrible.
and the all time duffer - which nobody will ever have heard of - Corvette Summer!
Why? Because it starred a certain Mark Hammil, who made the movie soon after starring in that low budget scifi film called Star Wars, thinking that it would be good to get back to 'serious' acting, after his little excursion into fantasy as Luke Skywalker.
|
The "Dukes of Hazzard" remake. Tescos were selling it on dvd for £3 for a reason, and not because it was a bargain. Fooled me though.
|
For me it has got to be "the cars that ate Paris". This was a sub-b movie of about 30 years ago, which as I recall, featured badly customised beetles and the like, and much zombie action in a dusty Australian town. One of the few films I have walked out on before the end.

The "Dukes of Hazzard" remake.
You actually watched the Dukes of Hazzard for the cars? :)

Yes - Daisy Mae no longer wears short shorts. A good thing too as she probably has cellulite by now.

The original 'Death Race 2000', it was (and still is) dire...
I've not seen the remake.

Blues Brothers remake.
Same story, same stars, all be it considerably older, reduced budget!

Stroker Ace.
An aptly-named Burt Reynolds film if ever there was one.
|
'Cannonball Run' is a hopeless, painful, slightly racist movie
'It's a Mad,Mad World' is great though!
Anyone ever see 'Tucker'. A biopic starring Jeff Bridges about the guy who pioneered seatbelts and other safety features we take for granted now. That's quite a good film.
|
The worst is "Psychomania", british film from the 70's with Nicky Henson. oops sorry thats about motorbikes. SORRY
