What sort of idiot would buy a 20 year old a 193mph supercar? A few sticks of dynamite and a box of matches would be so much cheaper...
Maybe Wrecked Exotics should do a tie-in with The Darwin Awards.

There's rather amusing footage on the internet somewhere of a certain well known WAG trying to park a Lamborghini in a fair sized parking space. I am very much of the "good luck to you" school when it comes to the wealth of others, but it does make me angry when such precision engineering and focused design ends up in the hands of a complete fool who has no hope of ever understanding what really makes it special.
Driver aids have a lot to answer for. If all supercars were like TVRs, and simply killed the inexperienced / clueless as soon as it rained, these people would drive far more appropriate machinery.

Does anyone else remember the Renault 5 with the big engines?-not the normal fast ones but the ones with a V6 where the back seats should be.Apparently only about 50 were made and they are now into single figures-most written off.

The Turbo I and Turbo II were the only mid engined 5's that I'm aware of. They used a 1.4 litre engine with about 160 bhp.
An idea resurrected years later with the Clio V6.
Still great looking cars!

So maybe this one really has "never been raced or rallied" ! ;-)

They have regular races in jersey. They cut sections of the road off and have meetings

Without people like this buying cars, they'd be MUCH more expensive for the end user.

Many drivers of these machines simply don't have the ability to handle the power/torque of these cars, plus the temptation to use the power/torque is too much for them to resist, as is the temptation to buy one.
I drive (fly) a jet capable of Mach 2 (that's 1,500+ mph) and I've never come close to crashing the thing. They won't let anyone fly these things without undergoing rigorous assessments, training & testing etc.
Question is why do the powers that be allow any Tom, Dick or Harriet who has the money to buy a supercar and drive it without first passing a suitably rigorous testing procedure ?

Speaking of idiots (sorry Portugese footballers) someone has posted photos of a Red Ferrari crashed in a Manchester tunnel on wreckedexotics.
How do you do that much damage - limit is 50 and I guess he hit the brakes straight away so how fast was he really going!
Looks like foreign plates as well!
I guess Manchester footballers don't get done for dangerous driving in Manchester!
