06 1.9 cdti rattle at tickover after slight reving - fishy
As if things couldn't get worse....
After having the swirl valve job done! £800 gone.
Now i have a nother problem, when the engine is cold and ticking over
I get a couple of rattle / knocks.
and now have noticed that when warm and ticking over , If I give it
a little rev.....when the engine is settling down, there is a little audiable...
tap tap tap rattle !
Any one got any ideas before i have to head for the Garage again!!!!

JUST BEEN TO VAUXHALL GARAGE.

Now they tell me the clutch flywheel is worn and rattling.

Wait for it...........£1000 +

I am affraid the car has to go!!!!

Any advice on a decent towing car for a caravan about 1390kg laden??

Appart from vauxhalls! had these for years and years.....first diesel and now
I will have spent nearly £2000 in 2 weeks.

It has to go!!!

any advice on a decent replacement will be grateful

Sorry should have said.....

Out of warrantee...

61500mls tried the call to vauxhall...............NOT INTERESTED ONE BIT!

had the proper quote of vauxhall 30 mins agao.......£1341-00
would come down to £1050.....as i have just had the swirl valve job done last week!!!(£800)

local reputable garage has quoted me £850


it's bite the bullet yet again............or trade in.....

Hello my swirl valves are just bein done,
hope i dont get the same problem. will be VERY annoyed and mine will definatly go . i also have a 52 plate mondeo tdci lx 115 , this has 200000 miles on it all its had since new is a starter motor £150 fitted power steering pump £150 fitted and a clutch and flywheel £700 fitted , thats it , dont even know why i brought a potato should of had another ford.sorry to hear about your car
i am also annoyed with vauxhall USELESS
