hi this my first post
have rover metro 1.4i auto
have noticed j the car seems to rev very high
when stop at traffic lights put car in nutral and it nearly cut out
any help please
someone did say about putting cleaner in petrol tank
is there something wrong with idle

Have you checked the idle control valve? It sounds like the fault is there but with it being an auto I don't know if that adds extra problems.
