All I've ever won on the lottery is the odd tenner - based on that all I could have is the Mini 850 I bought in the eighties for a tenner. Oddly enough though I think I'd buy another one if I had 20 million to play with.
With the rest of 20 million though I'd have a SII Landie and a Bristol Blenheim.

20m... that's an average of £1.3m per car. I don't think there are that many cars around that would cost that, are there?
1. A bull-nose Morris & a man to polish the nose. In navy blue, with black leather.
2. A Series II & a man to keep it running. In sludge green, with worn-out cloth seats. Would never be the car of choice.
3. An L200 twin-cab (to tow the Series II). In silver, I guess, cos they always are...
4. A Morgan, in blue.
5. V12 XJS in white with cream leather. Or in red.
6. XK convertible in BRG.
7. Mk ii Jaguar - this would be my daily driver. Red, with cream seats. Or cream with red seats - probably the latter.
8. A6 Avant quattro - my other daily driver.
9. DB9 in navy.
10. er, well to be honest that's it.
How many cars do you need? Personally I find one to be quiet adequate, though if I were to own a garage I'd have something elegant and probably topless too. I seem to have four very similar motors on this list, scarcely seems worth the effort - apart from, perhaps, a topless and a topped coupé.
A pickup would have its uses beyond the ordinary car so I guess I'd find room for one of those too.
We're not a very enterprising lot, are we. I don't think anybody's even approaching £1m with their bill, let alone £20m...

Ah but Mapmaker, you are overlooking the need to have exact replica car stables at the Caribbean house, the Swiss ski resort house, the beach house on the Great Barrier Reef etc etc......

In navy blue, with black leather.
MM ever so slightly iffy having a chap dressed like that to clean your car though
|
|
Humph, you want a large powerful road-scraping RWD for the Alps, and a Series II for your rum-punch-soaked desert island?
|
Among other things, don't see why not...
|
Although on reflection, scratch the series 2, replace with Bowler Nemesis.
|
You been watching Fifth Gear Humph? Nifty in built jack though.

I don't do the lottery, so I'd have to somehow persuade NC's mercedes and driver to drive me instead (I'm a very easy passenger - I just sleep in the back). A lexus would be just as good - I won't pay it much attention. The driver is female, i hope :-)
I'd have to take the TL1000S out of Chrome's garage too - surely it won't be missed amongst all that other exotica ?

Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue - not new mind, probably 4 years or so, but with a non dating plate.
Mercedes Vito, black with tints all round. The chauffeur can drive that with the family in
Mercedes S class limo from the early eighties (saw one on some new tv programme, thought it looked a bit Russian gangster type, but very cool!)
Ford Escort 1.6LX Zetec, 1994 L - my first car...
Hyundai coupe 2.7V6
BMW 850
I think thats about it, oh no don't forget the Golf (for every day) Mk4 150bhp diesel.
You see, I really am strange....

That's a big garage AE.
Wouldn't you prefer something with flappy bits of canvas rather than a gin palace covered in naked flesh (or politicians)?

I'd want a big garage with a Spitfire in it.
Supermarine, rather than Triumph. :-)
If I couldn't do that (or possibly as well), I'd like:
Old stuff
1) 1969 MG Midget, in OEW. Tuned A-series and uprated suspension. Used to have one, such fun!
2) 1960s E-type 4.2 coupe in that lovely powder blue.
3) Jag XKSS, BRG, if there are any left...
4) Ford Mustang coupe, a la Bullitt. Yellow.
5) 1970s Toyota Crown, in silver. For no good reason, I always wanted one as a kid.
6) Renault 16, dark blue. Loved my grandad's.
7) Ford Escort mk2 RS2000 in white. Like Doyle's.
8) Mini cooper S, 1966ish, in red with black roof.
9) 1980's 911 turbo in metallic light blue or possibly black, full whale tail etc.
Modern stuff:
1) Overfinch range rover, silver
2) Volvo V70, dark grey
3) Jag XJR, in black
4) 911 carrera 4S, martini colours with turbo bodykit
5) Fiat 500 abarth
6) Japanese MPV, whichever is nicest, maybe Avensis Verso
7) MX5, last of the flip-up light models, black
8) That new Dodge Challenger, in that kind of burnt orange.
Bikes:
1) Yam RD125LC, in Marlboro racing colours with bikini fairing & bellypan.
2) Yam RD350 YPVS, F2 in red & white.
3) Suzuki RG500, blue & white
4) Early model fireblade, urban tiger colours
5) Ducati 916, red.
6) Ducati Monster 900, with termignonis, black
7) BMW R1150R in black
8) Vespa GT250ie, a new one, white.
Hard to restrict to 25 vehicles. Guess I'll need a big garage. And a mechanic to keep them all going.
That was fun!!!
Cheers,
Alex.
