Hi, I forgot to leave the logbook with the car last time it was serviced and since then the dealership has gone bust.
Anyone know if Subaru will stamp it if I send it to them?
I have the receipt.

The receipt would hold equal if not more weight than a stamp.

Exactly;don't bother-just keep the receipt!!
|
staple it in the service bokk.
If i was buying the car i would be happy with that.

It is a service RECORD. - Just write in in, that's what I do. The stamps are not official seals or anything. It's just to save them time writing.

Agree, the receipt would be good enough for me. You could always print this post as well as an extra bit of reassurance. Sad news of a Scoobie dealer going bust though.
|
Remember the thread recently when some spiv was selling custom stamped service books on an internet auction site?
Agree, receipts and previous MOT's if possibly backed by a service book is the important thing.
|
Agree that the receipts themselves are probably more important to a potential buyer than the stamp.
What scoobie dealer is ut that's gone bust then?

I refused to buy that Corsa due to a few things not adding up, one of them was that all the service stamps was from the person selling it, and he had no receipts, if he had receipts I would have thought it was a lot more genuine than a pointless easily faked stamp.

Been away for a couple of weeks. Has Robinsons gone down?

It seems so, the phone rings and you get the various options - sales/service etc but none of them are answered.
I'm trying the new one round the corner tomorrow for my 60k service.
