01 1.4 Cambelt - rouxbarb

I am thinking of buying one of these vehicles but would like to know at what intervals the cambelts are changed and does it differ between the 1.4 and the 1.6?

Year 2000 on, its 50,000 miles or 5 years whichever comes 1st. Fit a new water pump at the same time.

If you are still thinking of buying a Scenic,may I suggest reading the Which? reports on second hand MPV's.They cover reliability/repair costs.I'm afraid it will not be good news.
