Yes, I did that in 1967. I have a faded memory of them being held in by screws in the bottom of the tracks.. maybe. Or was it just one end? (I think it was after I had fitted them ;)
It was an easy job anyway and the fixing holes in the new tracks should make it obvious - when you get them. I replaced the rotting originals with a plastic type and they worked fine.
