Mk1 Mini - 1966 removal/refit of sliding windows? - wullie
I am restoring a mk1 mini can anyone advise me on how to remove and refit sliding windows on doors as i wish to renew glass sliding channels thanks

Yes, I did that in 1967. I have a faded memory of them being held in by screws in the bottom of the tracks.. maybe. Or was it just one end? (I think it was after I had fitted them ;)
It was an easy job anyway and the fixing holes in the new tracks should make it obvious - when you get them. I replaced the rotting originals with a plastic type and they worked fine.

Pretty sure oilrag is right. Screws in the bottom channels - usually rusted!
