Went into a hyundai dealership today to look at the i30. Sales rep got talking about the Getz and told us if we want one to come back in Jan as they will be selling them for 'peanuts'.
He didnt say how much the 'peanuts' will cost, any ideas? any more info?

But answer to your Q - guess it's their way of marketing for the New Year - offers will be appearing from EVERYONE soon!

Dont get me wrong, he was trying to sell me a getz and then an amica.
He was quiet good to be fair, very honest.
Looks like we will be holding on until Jan.

Was he honest enough to tell you that the Getz is now 'old hat', was being discontinued and will be replaced in January by the new i20 model which will be a far superior vehicle. However you may well have a financial interest in acquiring the outgoing model which should attract a substantial discount and of course should be considerably cheaper than the superseding i20 which costs from £8195 OTR.

The Getz has frequently been discounted at my local dealer. I doubt if they will ever be sold at less than a profit to the mainly women drivers. They are comfortable, quiet and well built cars not appealing to the enthusiast. Numb steering, noisy on bumps and a difficult angle for my right leg are the only bad points I can see when driving SWMBOs.

Pre-reg £5500 for the 1.1 Gsi with air-con, but you can have a Mitsubishi Colt (without the air-con) for similar money with a better engine.

This is the old model (Colt just been facelifted) but Gallaghers have had them at this price for ages so it may well be possible to get them for less now, and anything pre-reg should be cheaper too. If you look at a new Colt make sure you get the cheap servicing deal (£185 for 3 services).
