06 2.5 Proprietary/unique locking wheel bolts/nut - Matthew_J_King
Just had my wheels stolen last night - they obviously had the manufacturer's standard shape locking wheel knut.

I've easilly found after market locking bolts (obviously I don't just want to get the manufacturers ones again as anyone with a BMW knut can remove my wheels again).
I could use 2 or 3 different shape locking bolts to make more difficult to remove.

But can anyone confirm/RECOMMEND LOCKING WHEEL BOLTS THAT ARE UNIQUE i.e. that I'm 100% guaranteed that nobody can just obtain the same ones are be able to remove my wheels?

Many thanks,
Matt.

I doubt it.

What's a "knut" anyway? {Dunno - hence the spelling correction in the subject header - DD}

Could the wheels be easilly/quiuetly removed without the manufacturer's wheel knut???
Obviously you can drill them off, but even I would have woken up!

Is there little point using 2 or 3 different shaped sets of locking knut per car?

Locking wheel nuts can be removed without the other part of the the nut/bolt. Tyre change places to it all the time - but they will damage them. I would also think some noise would be involved.
