2000 1.1 Electrical fault! - 2chae2
For some reason, my stereo, indicators and heated rear window all suddenly died. Any ideas why this could be? Surely they shouldn't all be connected?

Start with the basics, have you checked the fuses?
2000 1.1 Electrical fault! - 2chae2
Yup all the fuses appear to be fine!

HRW and heater blower failure is a known fault on Saxos; I've modified many.

However; the indicators aren't on that circuit?

Check that the alternator is charging correctly.

Hi thanks. The alternators charging fine. Everyone keeps telling me they shouldn't be on the same circuit, can't understand it. My heater blowers are working fine though.

In that case, you'll have to treat hem as three separate faults.

Check for a broken wire in the tailgate for the HRW and a failed flasher unit for the indicators - do the hazards work?

Yes the hazards are fine. Could it be a relay?

If the hazards are working; double-check fuse 4 in the dash box.

Fuse is fine. Seem to have identified the indicator fault to the grey relay. Could this be right?

The relay does both the indicators and hazards. How have you checked that fuse?

hey guys,

I have the same fault... i was trying to fix the blower on my saxo, i found that there was no power getting to the switch itself and all fuses were ok! so i routed the power from the cigarette lighter just to get me going for the time being, but now my indicators, stereo and alternator seem to be playing up, all fuses seem ok, the hazzards work and i've tried replacing the relay for the hazzards, but i've got the same problem. The alternator is showing a dimly lit battery light indicating it's not charging, but this only comes on when a relay under the fuse board energises after starting the engine and slightly increasing the revs, on idle it's fine. intermittantly the hazzard relay chatters when the indicators come on, but it seems to be linked to the relay under the fuse board... i've undone what I did to the blower switch incase, but no joy :( any help would be amazing guys :)

cheers

Steve
