I had tickets for MPH and TG Live, which got us in to the Classic Motor Show and Classic Bike Show as well. A thoroughly superb day out all round. The Classic Motor Show was where we spent most of the day.

There was a guy selling an original Y registered black Golf GTI mk1 with 28,000 genuine miles and in completly original, unrestored condition. I would love to know if it sold, and what he got for it.

ah yes was speaking to an expert about that motor........... Something dodgy about it apparently not the car it seems

Seems crazy to pass off a sub standard motor at a gathering of car enthusiasts and experts. Surely Autotrader would have been a safer bet!

There was so much gorgeous metal there though. I was drooling over (in no particular order) the gorgeous red 1955 Ford F-100 pickup, the mint collection of Mark I, II and III Mini Coopers, the Twin Plenum Rover SD1 Vitesse, the Delta Integrale....all of it, in fact.

So that's what it was. Drove down the M40 Warwick - High Wycombe on Sunday evening, huge number of classics on the road, some on trailers some under their own steam, brightened up an otherwise boring journey.

Missed it this year, but have much enjoyed it in the past. It's huge and exhausting, and I could take only half a day of it, but there's plenty there for the determined to get a very full day out of it. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Anyone got a date for next year's show?

Something to scribble on the calendars we will all soon be buying.

My Dad & I went this year, it was really busy getting towards the car parks, we ended up parking inside Hall 19.

Very impressed with the show itself, plenty of exibits to have a look take photos etc...

Did anyone see the old Blue MkI Granada owned by a chap from Buckinghamshire, it was still in it's original condition there were a few blemishes around the bodywork, but that's because it's original not restored, still a credit to the owner.

Did anyone else see the skoda club stand, the open top which today costs the same price as it was new 20 years ago! £3000
