ive just bought a damaged corsa sxi , ive changed wishbone ,and noticed the steering rack arm is snapped near trackrod end.just been on ebay looking for steering rack ,and found a advert for steering rack arm end ,they just screw into the steering rack , anybody think its worth buying one and replacing it .or as anyone done it ,its a lot cheaper and a lot time consuming

since steering racks are parts that are well known or giving up the go I would be inclinded to replace the whole thing.
Up to you ofcourse, replace the end first if the rack is more then you think its worth changing right now.

we change a lot of these as the ball end "the bit that you screw in" has free play however that much force to snap the shaft i would be far happier knowing that the rack complete had been changed

it snapped where it screws in ,due to wishbone being damaged and wheel going bk about 3 inch , the rack operates like it should ,no banging orother noises
