Company Car Tax

Company Car Tax - pampa
I understand that a company supplied vehicle with eight seat plus the driver may be charged for Car Tax at the van rate rather than the Car rate. Does anyone know how/where I can get a definite answer, other than the Revenue, as I am getting conflicting advice from dealers.

Correct, as this is now meeting commercial vehicle criteria & the cost of the minibus (not people carrier, or van) will be plus VAT.
The company can reclaim the VAT & you will pay £500/year benefit in kind to Inland Revenue,for private use value,currently.
Not sure what proposed changes are for future tax years, though.
