away on business and have a rental Punto Grande with no instruction book. Clock wrong and cannot find way to change it. There is a menu button at the side, but all it seems to do is to set a speed limiter or warning - don't know which!
Help please!

First thing is that if the car is rolling it will only let you set the speed limiter thingy - but you have no doubt already figured that out.
If it has the dot matrix display there should be a middle button between the up and down ones - that should allow access to the menus?

top and bottom buttons to scroll through, center button to enter. probably same as my panda 100 hp.

No centre button but menu button does same thing The Fiat forum answer was effectively correct. Very strange way of doing it.

Sounds the same as my Picasso, keep pressing the Menu button until the item you want to change is flashing?

Thanks for the advice everyone.
I changed the units to miles from km for the trip meter (so I could understand the fuel consumption figures) and it also changed the odometer to miles. It will confuse the heck out of the rental guys when I drop the car back today!

I was only away for the weekend and kept watch on UK time. But car clock was about 53 minutes out and I was driving a LHD manual for the first time in about five years. So wanted to avoid looking at my watch.

I was picturing the OP with a fob watch, deer stalker and monocle. An odd vision in a Grande Punto. I would imagine operating a fob watch whilst driving to be similarly dangerous to using a mobile phone.

I have obsessive compulsive disorder which requires me to have the clock set to within three microseconds of the atomic clock in Germany (joke).
Give me a break - all I wanted was a correct time on the dashboard clock and I was busy overseas on business and had a short time in which to get online and get the answer - hence URGENT.
Yes I could look at my watch on the hand fixed to the steering wheel, but I prefer to use the in car clock whenever possible. I was in Israel and the difference in time between taking your eyes of the road to look at your watch or in dashboard clock is sufficient for a local to slip into the impossibly small space in front of your car. I've seen it happen.
Just to get you all jealous, on Friday I had an hour to kill and went to the beach in about 73 degrees F and walked into a beautifully calm and remarkably clear Mediteranean Sea without the slightest flinch of chill in the water. Ahhh I feel better now......

It just so happens I am giving expert evidence in a valuation claim matter next week in Court and happened by pure fluke to sit next to the trial judge on the plane home.....Fortunately we saw the funny side and talked cars rather than cases.
