Dear all,

Wonder if anyone has had experience of, and/or the solution to, the matter of blowing headlight bulbs on a 406.

My car is currently getting through at least 1 a week and it's a proper pain in the posterior!

Which bulbs or bulbs in general.

Firstly check the voltage across the battery at 3000 rpm. I suspect 14/14.25v. Then check the headlight reflectors are not free to move. If all is Ok then 'slow down' over speed bumps they kill headlight bulbs. Regards Peter

It's the main and dip beam halogen bulbs..

Are you sure you are not touching them with your fingers when you change them.
