I've noticed in my Fiesta that my inside windows always freeze up in cold weather.

Is there anything that I can do to prevent this?

How do people deal with freezing temperatures to save themselves time in the morning?

How old is the car?

You've probably got excess moisture in the vehicle due to a leak or something. I used to get this on an old Capri I had years ago.

Agreed - it's damp inside. Park in the sunshine with the windows 25% open - it'll warm up, and some of the moisture will evaporate.

Agreed, have a good feel round on the floor, under the carpets etc till you find the damp section, not forgetting the lower boot area, door cards etc.

If its all dry it could be that your journeys are so short that the car is not getting warm enough.

If you have somewhere off the road to park you could try putting a fan heater in the car for a few hours with the windows slighlty open to dry the whole thing, obviously if your carpets are saturated they will have to come out.

Agree with the above. The worst trouble I had was with my Mk II Marina permanently living up to its name.
I use aircon, when necessary, along with the heating to keep the car interior as dry as possible.
I normally use a container of tap hot water to thaw the windows out once the demister has been started then drive off immediately. There will be the odd occasion when you also have to wait and scrape due to unusually cold / humid conditions.

I had a Mk 3 Astra in for a head gasket for a few days. It was so wet inside that water was dripping off the screen. After some fun with towels and kitchen rolls I borrowed a de-humidifier from a pal and left it in the car for a few days. Took about half a gallon of water out and sorted the problem for the owner. Don't know if it re-occurred as he sold the car a month or so later.

If you have aircon, use it. Otherwise park under cover and leave the windows open slightly.

A Fiat Ulysse I owned recently started getting incredibly damp. After a very heavy storm one day I noticed water dripping through the roof lining. I traced the problem to the seal having perished around the windscreen. Bottle of windscreen sealer from local shop later, problem solved and no more moisture in the car.

I left it outside my house all day on a sunny day with all the windows open to drive out remaining moisture, and when I returned to it late afternoon the local police had dropped a cardboard flyer in the shape of a footprint on the passenger seat warning of the dangers of leaving car windows open! I'd have been amazed if the local hood rats had fancied a spin in a 13 year old LHD people carrier.
