Might it not be better to introduce a separate forum devoted to "I Have a Question" posts - on the same 'level' as 'Discussion', 'Technical Matters', 'Classifieds' etc.

Maybe it's just me, but I find the current system somewhat awkward to navigate.

Just a thought...

We had thought about it, but when I used to run the backroom poll and initially put it into a separate sub forum not many people looked at and contrbuted to the weekly poll. When I then posted it in the discussion forum it suddenly got a larger response.

I feel that if we do the same with IHAQ, Comp related, etc, the same will happen again.

I agree. A forum with too many subfora develops separate communities with people who never venture into the other fora.

I know of one forum with maybe 20 subfora (all very similar). It's just too bitty, too hard to navigate.

I haven't found any forum as easy to navigate as this one. It's the best forum in all respects that I've come across.

I am always rather amused by the Legal Section where each thread title is about the make and model of the car. As if it matters a toot which make you're in when you get busted for parking or speeding ...

Make and model don't have to be entered so can be left blank for non-model topics
