I am trying to find the location of the airbag module on my seat ibiza as i wish to replace the damage one it seems to be well hidden if anybodys got any ideas i would be grateful thanks spanner

2001 1400 airbag module - Screwloose

Just follow the yellow looms; it's on top of the "transmision" tunnel, just in front of the gearstick.

Your new one will need configuring - what deployed in the accident?

Thanks Screwloose for quick reply.the drivers airbag deployed.I have fitted a secondhand one a airbag module came with it,hoping to fit module then take car to garage to have airbag light reset. do you know the size of screws holding the module?. Thanks Spanner

Hi,

the airbag ecu should be held on by three 10mm nuts which are fairly easy to access..

and even better, provided the "new" ecu was taken from another car which had not deployed any airbags then once you turn on the ignition, the light should go out..
