2002 1.9tdi car problems - AudiAudiAudi

Hope someone can help out there, just got my car back from a garage after they fitted a new timing belt, now the car is running worse than ever , seems to be on take off fine, although when on the motorway and changing gears and then accelerating the rpm needle moves quickly from ie 2000 to 4000 or 5000 although the power is not going to the car and then the needle goes back down and the motor starts to increase in speed if you press the accelarator pedal slowly.

If you dont push hard on the accelarator and just increase speed gently the car does not over reef, anyone know what the issue is , i thought the timing was off , maybe not , hope you can help ?

Thx for the info , how much would you say it would cost to fix this , someone told me to only buy audi parts, another told me to try the clutch clinic, any advice out there, thx once again
