03 2.0 Cost for timing belt kit fitting - corblimeyguvnar
Any ideas how long one of these belt kits take to change on a 2.0 HDI 90 bhp, have been quoted 3.5 hours (@ £59 an hour) which sounds a bit long, also does £80 for the kit sound reasonable?

3.5 hours to do the belt, including the tensioners, is pretty good going. GSF list the kit at 51.50+ VAT, so garage rate of £80 not far off the mark. You'd be silly not to get the water pump changed at the same time too though. I'm expecting £400 when I have to get my HDi 110 done next year.

OK thanks for the info,so another £120 for the water pump on top then. Geez £400.
Better start saving.
