Its a 16 inch if that helps.

Has been handed into one of our charity shops and its brand new so was going to stick it on ebay but need to know which model it belongs to.

To me it looks like it could be from the accessory range, and maybe not model specific.... Could be wrong though.

Does it have a part number on the back??

Take it to a Citroen Dealer and ask them!!

..........or take a look on the citroen website and see if you can work it out from the specs - my guess given its 16" is that it must be something a little bigger like C4 rather than C1 2 or 3

I'm going to go for the 16" Narcisse from the C8....

Citroenian, of all people who should have known it would be you ! :)

However, on the wheel trim in my picture, there are holes all round the centre badge but there isn't on that C8 one.

It does have a part number (or several numbers) on the inside of the trim, I will look when back at work tomorrow and maybe phone a dealer. Just didn't know how co-operative they would be with me.

The size narrows it down to the bigger cars I would have thought.

The latest C5 I believe, it's shiny!!

Well it was worth a go.it looked like the closest match but I agree that the detail isn't the same :)

I wonder if it's from a non uk car they have a lot less alloys than us so a wider choice of plastic trims.

Am curious as to what it's off now.

Passed a newish Citroen people carrier thing this evening, C4 I think. The trim looked very similar overall, but the trims on the car I saw didn't have the writing/logo in the middle, so obviously not the same and probably a different size too.

I could be wrong (and very occasionally am!) but i don?t think this is a genuine Citroen wheel trim. Unless the new range of models have changed, Citroen do not put their name on genuine trims, and generally speaking Citroen trims are rather plain. As has been mentioned before this is possible some sort of aftermarket range which fits all 16inch (if this is the size) rims.

Maybe similar to the following ebay product? tinyurl.com/4jqtbw

Citroen's plastic wheel trims very often have the company name around the centre; those on my Berlingo have. I wonder whether this trim is from one of their vans. The size possibly suggests so.

I think it is genuine Citroen, it has too many stamps ont he inside inc production date of March 08, part numbers etc.

It was handed into one of our shops with a load of other non car related items which suggests a clearout of stuff that has been lying about someone's house so maybe not a current Citroen or certainly not the wheeltrim for a current model.

The annoying thing is I can picture this wheel trim on a car, I just can't remember which one!!!

Try putting the part number on its own into Google. This has worked for me before.

I'm usually pretty good at identifying car parts like this (much to my wife's dismay ;-) ).

I don't think it's from any Citroen car. I'm going for a new Berlingo van

I think you're right. tinyurl.com/4kvb5z

I think it certainly looks very like that new Berlingo van although strange for a trim to be handed in for it already unless it shares it with other vehicles.

Phoned Citroen dealer who advised me that Citroen don't actually put part numbers on to their items? So all the numbers etc are just manufacture codes but not Cit part numbers.
Only surefire way now is to take it into a dealer and ask them!

But I think that van is looking very likely...

I was hoping someone would have sussed this one - the Berlingo Moyo trims are 15" so if these are 16s then it's not them.

I can see myself at a Citroën dealer this weekend at this rate...

Been trawling through the Citroen site too, and can't find it, so agree with earlier comments that it's either come off a car visiting from the continent, or is an aftermarket one.

The bit that confuses me is that the central part inside the chrome ring with the double chevron looks matt black, but all the cars with steel wheels on the site don't appear to have that.

On that basis, personally would go for an aftermarket item. But Bobby, if you do find out over the weekend please update as is frustrating me (am so sad can normally tell what car, model year and spec a wheel trim comes from, but this has really stumped me).

Hate to tell you but the wheel trim is at work, and I won't be back there till Monday!!!
It is definitely identical to the ones on Berlingo III on the Citroen website, although doubt has now been put in my mind on the size! Definitely says 16 on the trim...

If you go to

www.accessories.citroen.co.uk/

Select Berlingo III from the drop down and "any" for accessories, the third or fourth item is mudflaps and they are shown round the same design of wheel trim.

But is it 16inch???

Have you measured it ?
Which Citroen does this wheel trim belong to? - Pugugly
According to the options list for the Berlingo 3 there is a 16" wheel option with covers.

Haven't measured it but definitely think we are getting warmer here!

The spokes haven't got the grooves shown in the OP's photo.

I've done an "Accessory" search for "Wheel Trims" (sub-category of "Personalisation") and couldn't find the elusive trim.
Which Citroen does this wheel trim belong to? - L'escargot
It's strange that the letter E in the word CITROEN on the trim hasn't got an umlaut.
Which Citroen does this wheel trim belong to? - cheddar
It is amazing how fascinating this is!

It is not the Berlingo one mentioned, it is clearly different.

I dont think it is an aftermarket item because of the way "Citroen" is moulded into the main section, an aftermarket one would have a generic main section with a glued on Citroen etc badge.
Which Citroen does this wheel trim belong to? - L'escargot
Bearing in mind the absence of an umlaut, I suspect it's a spurious part.

Just to be pedantic, the sign missing above the e is a circumflex not an umlaut which is german!

According to this tinyurl.com/radmq it's an accent tréma in French and a dieresis in English.

And German starts with a capital G. So there!
Which Citroen does this wheel trim belong to? - I'm a Pane
circumflex (â, ê, î, ô, û): Over an a, e or o, indicates the sound /ɑ/, /ɛ/ or /o/, respectively (the distinction a /a/ vs. â /ɑ/ tends to disappear in many dialects). Most often indicates the historical deletion of an adjacent letter (usually an s or a vowel): château < castel, fête < feste, sûr < seur, dîner < disner. It has also come to be used to distinguish homophones: du ("of the") vs. dû (past participle of devoir "to have to do something (pertaining to an act)"; note that dû is in fact written thus because of a dropped e: deu).

Apologies to all Germans for the lack of capitalisation!

Mods please delete this - I'm an idiot who can't tell an ^ from a "!!!

What ???

Circumflex is known in Wales (according to Mrs P) as "To Bach" (little roof) far more sensible and no scope for error.

My original picture might not be close enough to show it, but it definitely has, what us Scots would lovingly refer to as a "wee thingy" above the 'E' !
Which Citroen does this wheel trim belong to? - Pugugly
which (thankfully) brings the linguistic debate to an end - Its got a "wee thingy" let's move on !
Which Citroen does this wheel trim belong to? - BobbyG
Well finally was able to take this along to a Citroen dealer today who looked up his computer and we are 99% certain it comes from the new Berlingo.
Not 100% as the visuals on their computer are not close enough to say exact match.

So it will go on ebay as a Berlingo trim. Quite how a wheel trim for a relatively brand new model turned up in one of our charity shops is another question altogether!

Thank you for all the input, suggestions etc.!
