It's been up for a week, it seems. Not sure who they get their feed from. Interestingly you can also select predictive speeds for any time/day from 0500-2100 7/7.

Wow. Interesting they don't do Scotland...
How do you select the predictive speeds?

In the speed key box on the left it says "Live Traffic" and in blue to the right "change". Click change and select your time and day.

Errr can't see any of those. What did you click first? I've gone to directions and put in a start and finish and been given my directions.

I couldn't see anything earlier today either, but assumed that was because I'm in Linux. But just now I Googled for 'google maps traffic', which took me to a Google map of the States showing lots of traffic light symbols - clicking on one of these brought up a link to zoom in to the traffic for the region.
Then I typed in my own postcode into the Google map search box, and I've now got a map of my area showing traffic.
Don't know why this worked.

Except for about 500m at the start of the M74!

It may not do Scotland but does the USA though!

Does it show motorways only?

|
And trunk road such as A34, A12 and A14, for example.

Not used it yet but I saw this on my iphone

So predictive they're showing a motorway in our area that is still under construction!

Can't see this box either on the screen, sounds useful though.

Likely cause: Security settings on your PC.
Scripting [active-x, java script, etc.] disabled via your browser or firewall.

It would not work for me either, but using the trick from above enables the traffic layer. Just type in the UK postcode for location and it all works!

They havent even thought about motorways around here yet.
There again, not many tractors can go that fast :)

Strangely it shows the A6 in Stockport as freeflowing 45 mph. The limit is 30 mph. Hows that then?
