1998 1.6 Poor Starting solution - Virgil
Thought this info may be usuful to other Megane Scenic owners. Had a problem with mine in that sometimes it would start first turn of the key other times it took two, three or more attempts. The culprit was the Top dead center (TDC) sensor. The sensor is located on top of the gear box next to the engine block and is held in place by 2 bolts. All that needed to be done was to remove the sensor clean with WD40 or simular and replace, a 10 min job. This was done 2 weeks ago and the car now starts first time every time!
