I need an exhaust pipe & silencer for an old AJS 500. Any ideas?

Have you tried the OBM newspaper (Old Bike Mart) or any autojumbles?

There may well be someone re-manufacturing them? Have a look in "Classic Bike" magazine.

There are plenty of companies that make new AJS 7R / Matchless G50 engines (for classic racing) and such like. You can even buy new Triumph T150/160 triples (the old Meridan design).
