What 'death' was that then? In volume/value terms it can never have been healthier. Oh, he means no more names like 'Rover' & 'MG' or Bentley' - ah, no that's wrong too. Maybe he means British workers don't build cars.. no can't be that either... Hmmm, oh, yes - it must be the people who wear the suits & tell the workers what to do actually have some managment expertise & can make cars profitably & they're not really British (at least the ones at the very top). Or maybe that the companies who own the car factories are 'foreign' - hang on though, don't our pension & insurance companies own much of those?
