will sat nav work in c3, only been told wont work in some french cars without separate aerial

Go inside a C3 in dealer's forecourt. Close all windows and then switch on sat nav and see if it gets any signal?

I don't think it is restricted to just French cars, any car with heat reflecting glass is likely to be problematic. In my Picasso I have to locate the GPS unit behind the mirror where there is a untreated area. Of course this is only possible if you have a seperate GPS unit that be located away from the SatNav.

In my Xsara Picasso it seemed to work fine even with the heat reflecting windscreen. However, I simply installed the unit on the front quarter light - easy to see yet out of the way. And Costco have an offer coming up for a Navman which seems v. good, better even than my discount Tomtom.
