I have read a few of the recommendations for companies that offer Cruise Control as an after-fit option.
Can anyone give me any guidance as to how reliable these are likely to be, given the propensity for a faulty one to cause serious trouble!
Many thanks.

I have had a Econocruise kit which I have transfered from car to car for ten years. It's a proper 4 function electronic control jobby from USA - approved fit to GM amongst others. I have never had any problems with it. Econocruise live in the Midlands somewhere (Kidderminster if I remember correctly).

I had a cruise-control fitted by the firm in Kidderminster to my Xantia 2.1TD three and a half years ago. Several times I have driven down to Southern Spain, and on the long, straight roads it's made for effortless driving. Very reliable.
