1998 2.5 indicator problem - daverl
I have a problem with the indicators on my partners 2.5 v6 vectra.

The indicators intermitentally come on with the keys out of the ignition. stayin on constantly, not flashing. This problem seems to be worse in hotter weather.

I have to pull out BOTH flasher relays to get the indicators to go out. However, the green warning light on the dashboard still stays on.

Sometimes tapping the end of the dash beside the fusebox turns the warning light out.

Please help, this is driving me potty

Take a look at the hazard switch to ensure its operation is ok and not stuck in a midway position.(a known weakspot on all GM models).Another posible is a fault in the c/d locking alarm control module that is located in the drivers footwell ,behind the plastic panel by bonnet release.hth

Hazard switch seems ok.

If its the c/lock module, would unplugging it stop the alarm working? Or just the c/locking?

Disconnecting the module will knock out both functions.
