At a new strip mall near us which has just opened, some of the best parking spots not reserved for the disabled. Instead there is a sign posted saying "Preferred Parking for Fuel Efficient Vehicles". Coming soon to a strip near you!

Without trying to cause insult, does this apply to any vehicle capable of getting more than 25 miles per gallon then?
|
I don't think it has any legal basis or standing. My car's more efficient than my neighbour's Hummer, after all.
These spots seem to rely on the honour system. And they were vacant!

Honour system!!
In the UK they'd be filled by wall-to-wall 4.5L V8 4x4s.
British people won't be told what to do!!

Somewhere for stunorthants26 to leave his pushbike ;>)

no problem with disabled spaces near the entrance - (Tho at our asda we see loads of people who have obviously borrowed granma's blue ticket)
But why can't we have spaces for obese people - as far from the entrance as possible.
Something I have suggested for some time. Makes sense to me. Ha ha

Parking spots for "save the planet" peoples vehicles should be as near as possible to the car park entrance, not the shop, so as they don't drive as far.

I so want a Dodge Magnum in black with black alloys when I read stuff like this ! 6.1 Hemi with
425 bhp.

Dont worry, after the global warming there will be an ice age! It all evens out in the long run.

Here at least, they are often one and the same! You seem to get given your disabled badge once you reach a certain weight.
