Speedo failure rises and drop backdown when driving
any ideas what is causing this?????

Right on a change-point there; but it may get a pulse signal from a sensor on the output of the diff.
If there's no sensor fitted; then it may be networked from the ABS.

I think you'll find the speedo needle has come loose on its spindle. You'll need to get at the needle to push it back onto the spindle firmly. It is a common problem with 206's. When you take it apart make sure your hands are perfectly clean, otherwise you'll get fingermarks all over the place which will show up and annoy you after you've put it all back together.

hi yes your write the needle on the speedo is not working iv'e pushed it back in but everytime i drive up te road the needle works fine for 10 seconds then jumps out and drops down again... can you tell me how to sort this please? all your points are very greatful...
