Nissan Micra (2003 - 2010) - 2003 1.2 Blower resistor pack

2003 1.2 Blower resistor pack - gray
The blower only works on speed 3 and 4 which are noisy. Have sumised by surfing that I need a new resistor pack. Any ideas where the offending part is and how to get to it? Any ideas on where to get it cheap?

What year is the Micra? - might be in a different location, depending on age/model, etc.

A quick forum search found that a 1993 one is thus:-

But as already said, it could be year/model dependant.

It took me about 10 minutes to change one on a 98 micra. I just took the one of my old car before I scrapped it

Followed the link re 2003 micra that DD posted and I am having the same trouble as that person ie. finding the pack. Can't see anything under glove box or at the side. There was mention of it being attached to fan housing. Cant see a way of getting near there without removing some big bit of plastic.HELP

Thanks for the link Chris. Will have yet another look at it when the rain stops. I just can't see or feel anything behind the glovebox, there just doesn't seem to be enough room. There seems to be more advice available for pre 03 micras. Doesn't help that the nearest dealership is quite a distance away.

A bit silly replying to my own message but I've cracked it. FREE manuals for the Micra available at

In order to solve the resistor pack problem, download the instrument panel and the air conditioner files. These are unfortunately "rar" files which if you can't open, download 7-zip software for free and it will convert them to pdf. I'm that worn out think I'll take the car to the garage!1 Gray
