1987 3.0 sluggish behaviour - Mikeym1

Hi,

My friend had with a Mercedes 300SL with a power problem.

The distributor cap has been replaced and the car has recently passed an mot. I expect this type of car due to the weight is not going to be high performance but it is really struggling to go and there is a vibration through the front wheels at approx 40 mile an hour which I can only describe as trying to drive the car with the front wheels seized on. very sluggish.

Any ideas please?
