My tt is a 2001 225hp, had problems with starting, dials not working then suddenley working, spoken to audi, they believe its the dashpod, been a problem with them from the start, offered a FREE replacement, only ever had a free car wash before and that was only after a large bill.

Result! That replacement's worth a small fortune; by the time a brand new pod was fitted, configured and the immobilizer re-coded by a dealer, the bill would have been nudging a grand.
Nice to see a manufacturer putting their hands up about a "known problem" and doing the decent thing - any chance they could have a quiet word with Mazda; Renault-Nissan; Vauxhall; et al.
