'left unlocked with the keys in the ignition' maybe an expensive lesson is what this guy needs

£19k for an H reg Golf? What has he done to it??
|
The police won't get anywhere. You cannot be held responsible for someone elses illegal actions.
Infact, if they persue this, perhaps the owner could see them about harrasment charges.

The police won't get anywhere.
Unfortunately, I think they can, although I'd like to be wrong - I would not rate the chances of the insurance company recovering the money from the person who took it at all highly. They will be grateful that Mr. West has already paid for the repairs to his own car, and other costs, though.

I think the real crime is butchering one of the few remaining Mk2 Golf GTIs like that.

Fool for leaving his keys in.
Fool for butchering the car.
Fool for lots of other things.
But the police should be sending the bill for the damage caused to the person who caused it ! Penalise the offender!
I know you shouldnt leave keys in a car; but in a decent civilised place you should be able to!

Butchering the car?
Give the lad a break - it doesn't look too bad from the pic.
Seen plenty much, much, worse.
Mind, 19K? I wonder what else he dreams about.

I too think 'butchering' a bit severe.
Once again I see, ifithelps...
I say, are you a boring old (demotic word for release of intestinal wind) too?
I think we should be told.
:o}

Once again..., as you say Lud, but it will probably end in tears.
Like to think neither boring nor old applies, although the latter is a lot closer than ever it was.
Now, isn't it past your bedtime? :)
