2000 1.9TDi - Smoking & misfiring - marpolo
Hi all
would you like to help me in this matter
i got bora 1.9 TDI X reg the engine is misfiring and there is smoke when i strat about 10min then no smoke.

What's the engine code? Is the engine light on? Have you had the fault-codes read? Have you had a garage look at it? What colour is the smoke?

thanks for your reply,

the engine code is ALH
the smoke is whitish and last for 10 minutes
a mecanic said that the pistons ring were worn we change them recently but still same problem
is it really the pistons ring or something to do with the injection pump?

Have the compression pressures tested, hot and cold, to see if this is a piston issue.
